Who we are
Household of Christ is a vibrant, Christ-centred, Spirit-led, people-loving church in Mooikloof, Pretoria.

GIFTS – Serving God with what
He has given us
God has placed unique gifts and talents inside every believer. We use our gifts to serve on teams and help others encounter Jesus.

GIVING – Honouring God
with our resources
Giving is an act of worship, trust, and obedience. We give to honour God above all, to build God’s house, support the work of the ministry, and meet real needs. (2 Cor 9:6–7, Prov 3:9, Luke 6:38, Mal 3:10, Gen 14:18-20)

GROUPS – Growing in community
Faith grows best in community. We grow together as we gather in Connect Groups, serve on teams, attend church, and take part in events. Through relationships, prayer, and shared life, we grow in our walk with God. We are meant to live life together. (Acts 2:42, Heb 10:24–25, Eccl 4:9–10)

GROWTH – Becoming more like Christ
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. As we follow Jesus, we grow in our relationship with God, in godly character, and in the way we live out our faith each day. As Christ is formed in us, our lives begin to reflect His love, obedience, and hope to the world around us.

Everything
We gather to Reach Up in wholehearted worship, Reach In to grow and be discipled, and Reach Out to love our community with compassion, generosity, and courage — to go after the One. The one who is searching. The one who is hurting. The one who needs the hope of Jesus.
We show up with open hands and open hearts, knowing that God chooses grace rather than works so that no man may boast — and this grace shapes how we love, serve, and reach people.

At Household of Christ, we believe that everything flows from one truth:
We love God above all. He is our first love, our foundation, and the centre of our lives.
When we love God above all else, our hearts are shaped by His heart. Our worship
becomes sincere. Our obedience becomes joyful. Our faith becomes active and real.
And because we love God above all, we love people intentionally. We choose to
see people the way Jesus sees them. We welcome everyone with warmth and
honour. We walk with one another through every season of life. We serve, give,
pray, and show compassion — not out of duty, but out of love.
Here, friends become family, and faith is lived out daily. This is what it means to be
part of Household of Christ.
Our Beliefs
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to salvation.

The Bible is God’s living Word and our foundation for life.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live boldly and faithfully.

Church is God’s house, built on His presence and filled with His people.

God still heals, restores, and transforms lives today.

Our Values
Christ-Centred
Jesus is always our focus. Everything we do points to Him. We believe salvation and
life in Christ come by grace, not by works, so that no one may boast.
(Col 1:18, Heb 12:2, Eph 2:8–9)
Family-Based
We do life together. Church is a place to belong, grow, and be cared for.
(Rom 12:10, Gal 6:2)
Faith-Filled
We trust God and believe Him for what only He can do.
(Heb 11:1, Mark 9:23)
Prayer-Led
We depend on God in everything and seek Him first through prayer, relying on the
power and leading of the Holy Spirit, according to the Word of God.

Purpose-Focused
Everyone has a place. God has given each person gifts to serve and make a difference.
